Which Snow Trackers?

I put the Semi Aggressive on my Vector haven't had a chance to even get them out of the Garage. LOL ! My brother put them on his 1200 and was out Saturday running around and said they were perfect even in deep snow in the ditches. Is this going on Angry Bird or the the 14 ? Your going to keep them both aren't you ??

I put the "old" Yamaha skis on my 14 because I dislike the Tuners greatly. That's what the ST's will go on. The Tuners are on AB (my 05 Vector 121") and they work well on that chassis, but I attribute that to the sled having the M10 and my ability to fine tune the front ski pressure.

Right now I'm keeping both as nobody is interested in my 14. Based on what I see in various "for sale" sites, very few late model sleds are being bought. If you got a $1500-3000 sled, no problem selling it.

Aggressive work the best. I had semis on my 06 and I replaced them with aggressive trackers made a huge difference. A little harder steering but (0) push and worked great. I have never had an issues with tracks or flipping other than they bite hard when backing up especially on asphalt so if you have studs or on ice it can be difficult to back up sometimes.

I have power steering so hopefully that will help.

I have Aggressive's on my Apex LTX with mountain skis. I love them! The sled is on rails. No push (compared to the dual runners I had). With good grip comes a slight modification in riding style if you are counting on push in the middle of the corner - Too much steering input will get your attention real fast.

My 2 1/2 cents..... :letsnow: :-o

I don't ride that hard in the twisties.....this sled won't let me....not that one should ride hard in the twisties anyway....never know what's around the corner.

I'm on my second set of aggressive's, 12000km, their excellent. Agree with a few of the others about ski pressure, I loosened my limiter strap 1 notch...wicked

Get the aggressives. I ordered the semi and regretted it. Sold them and went with Bergstrom's 8" tripples which I love.

I have 200 miles on the Semi Aggressive and they seem to be everything they say they are ! In the 4" of Mash potato slop we had on last Friday they had a little push to them but nothing scary at all ! Saturday they held the line very well but the trails were all but gone by 2:00 in the afternoon. They sure do make the steering lighter!

You know what, it just may have been the fresh snow, very loose conditions that made me believe the semi aggressives were not good. But I think my unfavorable opinion also came from loading my sled on the trailer with them. They dug so hard into our trailer's plastic ski guides that I had to literally ram my sled into the trailer using too much speed for comfort.

I solved the problem with the carbide digging in by buying a cheap set of ski skins off of ebay. I place the skins under the ski's and just put one rubber bungee cord around the top of the ski. I can tilt my trailer and it just slides off. They work good for driveways and garage floors also !

Great idea Dan.

Jim, Any snow up by you? It's raining and no snow in sight. I'm starting to go bonkers !!

Trails aren't open....need about 6" of wet heavy stuff. Rode the Wild Rivers and Tuscobia with my youngest on Xmas Eve. Plenty of snow on them but now I'm not so sure. Our "big storm" for today has fizzled into nothingness......again. :(
