I was looking at getting a Koso super slim temp gauge in Celsius but it only reads to 150 c or 248 F for the Fahrenheit one.. What is the nytro reading for the fan to kick on. Is it Celsius or Fahrenheit . I always thought the sleds running temp was around 170 - 180 Celsius . I never really checked into it.

I would like digital for easy quick glance readability but a dial ( analog ) would work also. I have one of the Trail Tech temp gauges but I don't like that it is a internal battery and not replaceable , good for 5 yrs. It's already dated 02/13 so it has a year of the battery gone already. I only want to cut into this line once and close it up once, not change out the temp gauge every 5 yrs.

The temps are in Fahrenheit. Anything under 200 is acceptable and I think the Nytro overheat light comes on at 210. Can't remember what temp the fan kicks though. Here's a pic another member posted of his koso. Should work fine

I was thinking something was not right. Why would they put it out there if it does not read high enough. So a Fahrenheit on is the correct one to get. I have to buy 2 of them so I can save myself a few bucks and make my own sensor adapter tube on the lathe. Just need to know the thread pitch on the temp sensor.

Not sure this thread is leading you in the right direction. Celcius and fahranheit are units of measure; as you are in CANADA, celcius probably makes more sense to you than Fahrenheit (unless you are "experienced"). If what has been said earlier is accurate then both will work fine as 150* C is 300* F.

C or F makes no difference to me. I usually set my sled to what ever the majority talk in. Like Fahrenheit is what the majority of manufactures use so that is what I am use to hearing. I also have my sled set in mph instead of kmh. But living in Saskatchewan most of the grid roads are 1 mile apart and most farmers still talk to you in miles instead of kms so I am kind of use to it.

The dealer her told me the sled was in Celsius which is wrong.

That's my Sled in the picture. Gauge works great, only issue I have is that it is a little hard to see in direct sunlight. One of the best things I did to my Nytro, that and putting ice scratchers on my skis. Hopefully my Viper will have a little more cooling capacity to it but it is nice to finally have a factory gauge. Do a search for my posts there should be pictures of the mount I made as well.

I have the Koso slim line gauge in metric on my Phazer. Not as easy to read in bright light as I had hopped. I made a sun shield using some angled aluminum but it hasn't really helped. My GloShift digital gauge was easier to read but a lot bigger.

Ulmer Racing also sells a Daytona temp gauge.
