Which year apex? Buying used

revvystoke
what is your location i too would be intrested in the rest of that sled

I'm up north from you guys in Alaska, the shipping costs would probably be too high for anything except mailable parts. Is there commonality between the 09 vector and apex? I was hoping everything would be the same except motor, exhaust and intake.

Well, Alaska is a little far. Yes, alot of parts will interchange between the two sleds. Engine, exhaust, wiring harness,
ECU, and fuel system will be different.

Ok thanks, I will hang onto everything else except those I guess.

I think oil tank will be different as well.

I had an 06 apex gt. great sled. Mid winter i sold it to a buddy and bought a brand new 2011 apex se for $10,000 OTD. Which is about 33% off of retail. Great deal imho. The prices on those used sleighs are good prices for sure. But after riding my se with the eps.....wow. I love it. So i guess you just need to decide if you wanna spend $4k on a used sled that may or may not need say $500 worth of maintenance or just spend the coin on a brand new machine with new technology. I only have 250 miles on my 2011 but i love it. Sits higher and more forward, eps, quieter. Just a great machine. I dont know maybe in a year or so i'll sell or trade to a yamacat(viper) after all the bugs get worked out?
The low prices are directly due to the fact that this new generation of ?yamahas?cats Are coming out in my opinion.

Probably. I have a couple of the newer Arctic Cat turbo's, I really hope Cat steps up their game when assembling the Yamaha sleds, the build quality on mine are poor and every major part is stamped made in China. I don't want to bore you guys with the parts I have replaced etc over the last few years, But I can say if I flipped my sled in the same manner as the one I bought for parts, it would have damaged more then just the spindle and steering post.

my thought was the value of that motor alone will get you more then you paid for the whole works

Id buy the w arm for the right price too...

Edit... didnt see the minor part about alaska... :)

Yea shipping is a killer for anything that can't be mailed :o|. If someone really wants parts for cheap though I can tear it down pretty easily and mail them.I paid for membership just in case anyone wants spare parts that I don't need.
