So what was the final verdict on the white secondary spring from the Attackin an Apex??????????

mixed reviews on the white spring. I've done it and thought it helped according to my butt dyno

But the revs seem to stay higher on light throttle cruise which could cause a slight loss in MPG

iv done it to and helps on topend a little more rever but gas mileage is still good

Did a 50 mph roll on to 115 on the DM against an F1000 and I pulled ahead by 3 lengths right from the start and held there until I let off..... There was still room to go.

Just with the spring? The reason I ask is I have a friend that is scared of mods BUT wants to be a little faster than his buds. He has an 06 apex.

Dont worry about this mod as the white spring is the stocker for the Attak, plus on the scale of things, prolly the cheapest change you can make.

Theoretically that spring should slow u down in acceleration & top end. It holds back the upshift in the secondary; like keeping your car in low gear. I would try it racing a buddy same day same conditions using both springs. Might be surprised what u find!!!

Turk i hear what your saying but i think our theroy with this Apex everything backwards works!!!! LOL for example gearing down to a 23 tooth should slow you down when in fact it speeds ya up still trying to figure this thing out lol

If a sled is over geared for a riders weight it won,t work properly. A lighter rider can benifit from higher gearing but a heavier guy has got to gear down to compensate for his weight. If your 150ish stock gearing in an apex is fine but heavier guys should gear down.

Like turk said,, these sleds are geared for close to 130+mph.. but due to heavier riders-loose snow-and not enough horsepower- you will never see that..

Gearing down just makes sense..

I'll admit I'm not the most clutch savvy guy around but you guys are saying the secondary clutch spring on the attak is white, but my '06 has a black one. I assume we are talking about the color of the spring itself or am I missing something?

There is a white dot on that black spring. The white color is the dot they are referring to.
