I went from markers 1/10 mile apart, from a dead start. With stock spring-96-97. Put the white spring in, and did the same thing. I increased mph by 1-2 mph. It did seem to accelerate faster, but that's seat of pants. I made 4 runs with each. Funny thing was I was always faster in one direction, with both springs.

i try the white spring on my gt and see no gain , i try it with other sled, we are side by side and when i put the white spring , the other sled is faster, the better for me is the pink spring at 3-3 . and i make 125mph g.p.s on a icy road with snow. with the pink spring.. all sleds are not the same..... thebest

Isn't the pink spring the stock spring?

the pink is stock for the apex but its not wound 3-3 its wound 6-1,so if i put the pink at 3-3 it should help a bit ?.........

welter,
Thanks, but what will 200 rpms do for me. I don't see how the machine could run any better. I thought they had a wide power band.

GEez, again, this is a point that was neglected in the Ted Janetty thread....the WHITE springs ends are at 12oclock and 2 oclock....whereas the PINK are at 6oclock and 12 oclock. UNDERSTAND?? So winding at 3-3 on one is not the same amount of winding on the other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for mine when is 6-1 is not pull in the arm and with tested with another sled, but when i put it at 3-3 it pull a lot in the arm and in the front of the other test sled ???? it depend on each sled, mine have a clipped track with a hacksaw 1@ track and i beat a lot of mack-z , but i no some sled don't take the same adjustment from the other.

On my 05 Rx-1 with the white spring set at 3 & 3 and the primary o-p-o it pulls a lot harder with a gain in top end. Thanks Ted & Turk very happy with this set up.

You probably won,t be any quicker cus it will slow the upshift on the secondary(keep it in low gear longer) ...but..it will backshift better ;giving it a zippier feeling & making it a lot more fun to ride.

If your sled is running 125 mph on radar it will beat alot of everything, and the color spring you run should not make much differance.

87GTS, i know im asking u guys,if i wind the pink at 3-3 will it be the same as buying a white spring......tork are u saying that if u put pink at 3-3 on an apex its just holding it in gear longer,if so i would think it would be a little quicker..maybe?...great info guys thanx..
