Who has cams or pistons in there RX-1 motor?

Hey guys im gonna open up the motor this year and im replacing the stock rods with corilo rods and im looking at some wiseco 13:1 pistons and some light head work.

Mine came with both; 2 cams & 4 pistons. Actually, I think that I would be safe to say that 100% of the people here do as well.

lol... Im pretty sure he means aftermarket cams or pistons... Mine is all stock but im interested in seeing what anyone else has done and what it did for their ride...

i have dyno rays cams and .010 head gasket.

I want to do the same but want results. Is there any gains to just cams, or do you need to do the porting too to notice any real difference?

You need the porting to go along with the cams to really see a difference with the kits available at this point and time.

anyone try mototune style of porting on this engine and tried it on a dyno?

I have a turbo kit almost done GT28RS all the parts. but this year would like to stay NA next year Ill boost it.

Anyone else with cams and compression

i did not do any porting and i see a huge differce. it,s unbelvable the differnce.

anyone try mototune style of porting on this engine and tried it on a dyno?

I havent seen the mototune porting on a rx1 but my buddy sent his yfz 450 head to lrd performance and it came back with epoxy in the bottom of the intake ports just like the mototune porting.


According to one guy that tried it on a yfz it adds top end which is exactly what wed want for a sled.


Speaking of yfz,s mine shot the rod through the cases today,trying to get one last ride in this year.
