I just purchased a new left over 09 LTX GT from the dealer for what I thought was a GREAT deal! I had signed up for the spring order so I received the 4yr warranty and I purchased another year for $100.00.
I sold my 07 RTX with 8,350 miles to a very good friend, it still has warranty so he should be all set.
Please tell me what you love about this sled, I assume it will be a very different ride compared to my RTX?
So far I have put a Camoplast Ice ripper XT track on it, low snow kit, all new larger and replaceable bearing boogie wheels and one Woody's Slim Jim dually on the right ski with a Woody's 8" single on the left ski.
How is the adjustable rear suspension?
Thanks,
Cobalt

Im in the same situation as you. I just picked mine up 8-1-09, brand new 09 with 13miles on it. I wasnt going to buy a new sled this year, but the deal was too good to pass up; even with the lame incentive program out last month (compared to last spring, $ 1,500 off?).
Im coming from a 93 TCat 900 triple. This new LTX GT will be like a caddy compared to that old sled.
First Yamaha, First 4 stroke, first electric start and reverse, and my very first brand new sled.
I cant wait till snow hits either. only thing left for my short list is a new helmet, the green has got to go, lol.

I have an '07 Attak GT (Same sled) and I love it for long distance cruising. It is sooooooo smooth and very, very fast. The wide powerband is encredibly addicting. I never stop smiling when I ride the sled.
I am in the midst of stretching it out to 151 and installing a 2" paddle track, because I ride off trail a lot. The Attak/LTX is designed to be a on trail cruizer, and it excels in its role.

Thank's Guys! I would rather not post the price but I will say the dealer I purchased from has a 08 40th LTX GT brand new for $8,999.00, mine was a little more than that.

Just picked up my LTX GT last Friday. I've been working on studding it with 162 up the middle. Set all my clickers where I want them, and now I'm playing with the "sag in". I adjusted the rear shock 3 full turns to the stiff side, but I have to check sag before I settle on that adjustment. I may end up putting it back. I'm very concerned about bottoming with the studs I have, so I want to get the rear end setup perfectly. Can't wait to ride it, but it sure sounds awesome.

Just picked up my 08 40th this summer. I think I got a good deal on it. Bought it with a 1,086 miles on it from an dealer in Findlay, OH for 8,300 out the door with three winters left on the YES warranty.
I has the extra boggie wheel kit, and Dooly carbites. Two rows of picks down the center.
Must be a connection around here I'm tring to sell my old sleds, 93 & 94 Thundercats!
I'm hoping that the 4-stroke pulls like the old school 165 HP 2 stroke triples did, with out all the headaches and mess.

TWOXQIK - I had a Thundercat once, and if you're wondering if you will like the APEX vs. T-Cat, you are talking ancient tech vs. what you have now. I guarantee you will like the motor, and the ride, fagetabatit! Those T-Cats were pigs in the handling dept. Fine if you were going in a straight line, (when they ran) but trail riding, no contest between an '08 APEX and a 94 T-Cat. I think just about every sled I've had since the 93 T-Cat handled better, and a few of them ran just as quick, 0 to 100.
Try JohnDee.com, post in the classifieds with pictures, and you will sell them. I've sold my last five or so sleds out there.

Cobalt - Congrats on the new sled I take it you didn't get it from Rod. I was in there Tuesday and didn't see (or remember) a 08 40th. But maybe that's because looking too closely at left over Venture GT, but I think I need and enclosed trailer first.
so how about some pictures!
