I've been hearing alot about windage plates..wondering what they are and what they do..and will they do anything for my Rage?

The windage plates cover the reinforcing ribs on the secondary clutch plate castings. The ribs 'pump air' which creates drag which robs efficiency. Hardcore racers may experience better ET's w/plates but I doubt a trail rider will notice any performance improvements. I'm interested in windage plates for the bling factor. Conditions are unrideable in Maine so I gotta tinker.Yama-Crazy said:

I have heard they raise clutch temp 10-15 degrees, but stay below 120 as Yamaha clutches run cool to start with.
