The LTX uses a different rear arm and rear idler wheel placement than the GT. Also, the upper 7" idlers are located further rearward, on their own drop-link plates.

The aftermarket kits (Hartman, Tracks USA) just provide rail and tunnel extensions. Has anyone had any problems with these? Is there any problem with the flatter track angle at the top rear?

I did my 06 GT with the Hartman setup. No problems at all. Got about 1700 miles on the setup. E-mail me if you need specifics.

We have done 7 of hartman kits over the last 3 years. No problems, kit looks great and works great. Just do it. You will not be disapointed. Say hi to Tom if you order from hartman. He's a great guy and stands behind his product. You might also want to try one of the sponsers here on ty as they also have kits. What ever kit you get im sure they all have the same results.

Hartman and Tracks USA are both great sources. You can also check us out (Muffin Works). We can provide you with a tunnel extension kit - in black powder coat that will match your GT.

Many here on TY have used our tunnel extension kit with great results.

Im going to Extend my Apex GT to 144" after i run out of things to mod on my XTX so ill be keeping my eyes on this post

Thanks for all the info guys.
The thing is, I've got most of the pieces for this mod left over from my old RX. (Studded 136" track,23T sprocket, 4th wheel, OEM Warrior tunnel extension, etc.)
The rails, of course, are different. I've got Hartman RX extensions, but they don't quite fit the Apex right. I thought about adapting them, but I'm afraid they might end up cracking the rails.
So all I really need is the extensions.
Thanks again for your input.

Can't go from 121 to 144 with the stock Mono skid. Geometry would not work well. You would have to go to an aftermarket skidframe like an A.D. Boivin Expert.
