Wow, a lot of guys are still getting lots of snow to enjoy - glad to see that! We had our last ride (162Km) on April 13th in Western NL - Gros Morne Park. There is still plenty of snow in that area and the streams and ponds/lakes are good. I would go again for another fix but we have a trip planned to the sunny south so all good things must come to an end. 2624Km on the TF this year and about 250 on the VL so that's pretty good considering a slow start.

Season is not over yet, actually this is the best time for riding. Will probably be riding through june, but only on my faithful sx-r 700 since my beautiful Apex went through the sea-ice and disappeared last weekend..May it rest in piece on the sea bottom.

Started the day on the Viper (review here if interested: http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=120370) but had to do a long run (120 miles) on my machine while conditions were still good. Rare for the river to still be good this late in the year but still had to water skip a bit. Mountains are always good for a month or more especially this year.

Gonna take the boy out Saturday. Never know when the heat will hit and season over. Even if I get 20km in its still late April and riding is an option. If I can ride in may that's 7 months this season

In 1996 my first ride was in October and last ride was in May. That was 8 calender months. Won't equal that this year, but it is still hanging on pretty late. There was 37" of ice on lakes north of me this past weekend.

Still have some snow on the lakes here but the trails are done. We haven't had any percipitation here for about 2 months. Everywhere around is getting snow and cold temps but we have been lucky, or unlucky which ever way you want to look at it. Could still be riding the lakes around here but I would have to trailer the sled for 5 blocks to get there, so I just take the quads instead.

Just got back from 170km run today and all i have to say is that storm that just hit us was the best snow i've ridden in years. Complete white out the last 2 days and today was plus 5-10c and clear. Fresh snow ALL day from knee to waist deep! Couldn't believe it. Last 2 years we were fishing in boats at the end of march. Still 3' of ice on lakes with tonnes of snow!

Had the boy out in the fields today. Rode about 45 minutes and had a blast. Not slushy at all deep soft snow. I would say 2 to 3 feet in most areas. Actually way deeper then I thought. When going uphill you could cut tracks 12 to 18 inches just to get out of the bowl. In the words of my 4 year old. "there is enough snow we can go again another day." I feek torn. Want to ride but want the boats in the lake may long weekend.
