WHY 41.3" ???

Yamaha goes through all the trouble to redo the front suspension on the 09 Nytro's, including new a-arms. Phazer and Apex models are around a 43" ski stance, so why would Yamaha leave potential stability on the table, making the sled 1.5" narrower than the industry standard?
Anybody care to speculate?
Their are so many advantages to having as long of an A-arm as possible.
 
I don't know how they measure their ski stance, but depending on how the suspension is sprung the width of the skis can change dramaticly. So if they took it to the edge with the shocks fully extended then the width may be more than allowed (on trails) when halfway compressed. Like I said not sure on the reason, I was a little confused as to why the width had changed as well.
