why are Apex not that fast

Guys, I'm on this site because about a year ago I decided I needed a sled w/ a better suspension. I had a few older sleds and my favorite was my vmax-4 so I knew I wanted to get a sled that had some speed. I bought a mint 2007 cross fire 1000. What a nightmare. This sled had 1800 miles on it. I now have 2300 miles and have invested over atleast 4-5K including a new long block from A/C, new clutch, ect, ect.... I can tell you that the Cross fire is VERY fast but NOTworth it. It's currently for sale and as soon as it sells I'm going to order an Apex SE. I have not taken one trip up north(Out of 5) and had something major not go wrong w/ this sled. All I'm saying is it's not all about speed, and I like speed but when your sled always breaks down there is NOTHING more anoying! I personally will never buy another sled that is not a yamaha. Also what is the deal w/ parts ----I have a few old V-4's I work on and worse case I wait a week for the part, I have waited 6 months for an A/C part.

PS-----I'm not saying the Apex is not fast either because it is. Fast and reliable.

PSS---Go to the A/C forum's----I went there when I was trying to make a decision to sell this sled and take a huge finanacial bath.......Most of the threads are guys complaining about broken sleds!

Go to the Cat forum-----Those tubo guys are doing nothing but complaining about those sleds. They are JUNK!

PS----My Crossfire did 120 (GPS) stock out of the box, but it didn't do it for long before there was an issue. They are very fast unreliable sleds!

Now that is not true...We have did radar on 3 now and that is not the fact..To get those numbers they have to have work done to them...

how about 127.6mph on the gun in 2800'. i hate to tell you the only way the cat's get that is by boosting their hp clutching and exhaust. my apex is stock.
