Is a wideband 02 sensor really neccesary for a apex 290hp rear kit?

I know its a sweet thing to have but have allready spent to much dollar and with christmas coming the budget is tight.

I have a watertemp and a boostgauge.

Also thinking on setting the co-levels to -18 to get reed of the flooding of the engine when pumping the throttle, Have heard that setting the co will only have effect where the rpms lies to engage the primary sheave?

cant say anything about the co numbers, BUT, I know the mcx kits dont need a wideband, most people ride without them, there ncie if you have a problem to chase it down, but mcx does there homework so you dont need to keep an eye on it.

sled might run great today, but things change, and change fast, so to me NOT running a guage is a silly thing to do,, can save your engine some day,,, let your eyes on a guage be the insurance,, my 2 cents!!!

Definitely an essential guage for any boosted motor. Piece of mind, especially when you've got it pinned for extended amounts of time. I just wouldn't ever feel comfortable not knowing if my sled was even set up properly the first time I rode.

They aren't cheap but could save you from squeeking your motor!

co settings is like pilot jet in an carberutor, it's only adjusting first part of throttle opening, and mostly @ engine idling.

I have that model and like it so far.

Don't forget to wire in a toggle switch on that bad boy. Leave it off until the engine is warm and then flip it on. It will make your sensor last way longer. That way the moisture from a cold motor isn't hitting the hot sensor. A sensor for my Innovate is $130 now. That sucks!

Well thought about that but shouldnt be a problem, i mean they last for many many miles in a car and then were only taking small lambda.

Thinking on installing a killswitch like this one.

and connect it to te key.. then i shouldnt miss it.

But another question, if starting the sled just to move i a little bit like a 500m, the senors dont need to be on? thinking on that the sled will not get so warm anyways?

Bought one here at advance auto parts for $55. May be you can order one from them next time
