I installed my RX motor (complete) into my Apex chassis because the Apex motor overheat and is shot. I want to install the Apex fuel injection, wire harness, and everything else onto the RX engine. WILL THIS WORK? The only real difference besides a slightly different engine casing and that there is a sensor on the front center of the apex motor that is not on the rx motor. What sensor is this and can a get away without plugging it in. If I cannot run the apex fuel injection and wire harness on the rx motor in my apex chassis I will run all RX carbs, wire harness, brains, etc. I just need to make the airbox and plastic fit. Anyway, has anyone done this or know if it will work?
Thanks for all the input. Its appreciated.

hen I put the Apex motor in my RX last summer I was told It would work so I would think you can go the other way. I ran it with the fuel injection and changed all of the electronics over to ge away from the choke and better throttle response.

The cam timing is completely different between those two engines so you will probably have calibration issues.

The sensor is the oil pressure switch. I would think I can bypass it and run the fuel injection. I believe I would have to run the fuel injection to get all the other parts to fit for airbox, headlight, plastic, etc. Its already saved a lot in other parts....shocks, oil tank, crankcase cover, etc. We'll see though.
