My 06 Attack motor overheat, spun a bearing and threw a rod through the rear of the crankcase. I was able to salvage a wrecked 05 RX Warrior which still had a good engine. WILL the RX Warrior motor fit in my Apex with the Apex fuel injection and brainbox and other parts??

Nope. Different mechanics, i.e crank, timing ,etc. etc....

I am refering to the whole engine....not interchaning engine internals. The whole complete RX engine into the attack chassis except install the fuel injection. Any ideas?

I think it will fit.

I would suggest you take the cylinder head assy off the attak motor and put it on the RX-1 motor. I think the "base" motors are identical. I know the pistons, rings, connecting rods etc are all the same part #. I think the block is the same part# also. The only difference between the two motors is the Head, Cams, and Fuel injection.

Check part #'s at http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx

Oooop's they are not the same. It still might work though. Nothing to lose by trying.
