I searched back twenty some pages and couldn't find anything on this. Has anyone put an artic cat windshield on their viper. I want a cat shield because you can get the mirrors attached to it and not have to hook to the handle bars or the console, yamaha mirrors look like bug antennas. I thought I remember someone else posting about the 7000 cat will fit but can't seem to find it. Any info would be great. Thanks

It fits but you have to drill some holes for the wings on the medium and high ones. Not sure about the cross tour windshield since I think it also has some braces?

Yes like cannondale said, they do fit. I have a low 7000 windshield on my viper and went right on. As for the taller ones I believe yo may have to do a little bit of fitting but all the holes around the headlight line right up

May want to find a good Cat dealer and check which windshields accept mirrors. I know that the Crosstour does, but that is a big screen. The others tend to be smaller so I'm not sure that they would have the proper mounting surfaces.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I want mirrors, but don't really want to wreck the look. Contemplating hand guards and mirrors mounted to them.

Gotta admit, the windshield mounted mirrors work quite well on my Apex. I find they work better than the handguard mirrors, though not as well as the bug like antennae ones.

With the mirrors on the hand guards, is that mirror the one that's around an inch to in ch and a half diameter. Do they work well? They just seems very small.

IMO, handguard mirrors are just too small.

I was looking at arctic cat accessories online and was wondering if cats mirrors would hook up to the Yamaha mid sized windshield. As long as the windshield flares out right I think it may work. When I get my sled I'm gonna try it.

Arctic cat now sells 2 different types of windshields. Make sure your buying for a arctic cat 7000. There a lot of assesorize that yamaha does not sell that arctic cat has.

I put a mid Cat windshield on my Viper without having to drill any holes. It lined up perfectly. I have my post pretty much upright and it doesn't hit the hand guards when fully turned one way or another. I like the "clean" look on the sled so opted not to put mirrors on. I found on some of my other sleds that on a rough trail they were hard to see anyways. I bought a hand mirror for $10 and it works awesome! You don't have to take your eyes off the trail and you can keep it steady.
