I have not heard of many owners bashing them, but I am sick of people claiming that the weight is such a big deal. First of all bury any sled really deep that has been made in the 8 years and it is pain to get out. That is why my old 81 Enticer 340 is still so much fun in the drfits, very easy to get out. In the 1000 miles that I have on my 04 Warrior I have never felt that weight was a issue. When I asked the dealer about weight issues I have heard before I owned one he asked me if the complaints came from owners of RX-1's ? They were not. He then mentioned that sure they are a little heavier but made a great comparison. He mentioned how most of your high end performance sedans like Mercedes, BMW et cetera are heavier than thier domestic competion, yet perform and feel so much better (I have a Chevy Truck and Pontac Grand Prix in my driveway, not bashing domestic vehicles). I think he made a great statement. I have never felt so secure and in control at high speeds. I was a mid to back of the pack driver on my XC600, that has now changed! Going fast is one thing, but going really fast in control and in comfort is what makes me so happy about my Warrior. These sleds need to be ridden and ridden well before we should take the bashers seriously.

I'm looking forward to the lighter weight of the Warrior. Its about 40 to 50 pds lighter than what I'm used to. I guess its all relative! LOL

Dan this is sooooooo TRUUUUEEEE!!! On snowmobile fanatics.com i see people always bashing the rx-1 for being "slow" and " heavy" and i went so far recently as to say this... MY SLED WOULD SURPRISE THE CRAP OUT OF YOU AND I WOULD PUT IT UP AGAINS ANY OTHER SLED OUT THERE!!
Guess what??? No one replyed after that...
P.S. the weight does matter and you do notice it in corners expecially when im trying to catch my buddy on his zr800 (he is a better rider)
You could put my buddy on a 500cc sled and he will still smoke me on the trails!!

- Which one? I have 6
WHEN PEOPLE ASK ME HOW I LIKE MY YAMI I TELL THEM " YOU KNOW, ITS BIG, ITS HEAVY, ITS A 4 STROKE" ETC ETC ETC . THEN I SHOW THEM UP AT THE PUMPS... ALWAYS HALF THE MONEY THEY SPEND, SHOW THEM UP ON THE LAKES, (THEY STILL DON'T KNOW I HAVE A TURBO) AND THEY HAVE A HELL OF A TIME TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH ME ON THE TRAILS, EVEN THE YOUNG BUCKS.

Nope a 1000 Pantera Artic Cat. Thats a two up touring T-Cat. 635 pds addvertised dry weight. Its been an awesome sled for 5 years. But alas its time to move on. Now its a RX Warrior and a Seat Jack. Lost a few ponies but gained a few mpg.
