Are you saying you can push a firecat with one hand on concrete?
I never had a firecat...but they roll nicely too.
My Tcat rolled nicely on the driveway (snowpacked) in the winter. I could move the sled with one hand by spinning the secondary clutch by the helix!
With a NEW (not broken in) snow track(with studs) and asphalt skis, on the driveway in September, it rolled on it's own into the front of the truck about 6 feet away....and my driveway has BARELY a slant to it and the sled was facing diagonally too!! I never heard it moving!! LOL!!!
I know the tcat doesn't sit as high as the APEX. But it would be nice to free it some, even a little! Sure is a lot of rolling resistance!
But hey, I'm not complaining, I think my new APEX is AWESOME!! I will never own a 2 stroke again!!!

The premium wheel kit from Maximum Performance also has a slightly wider bearing, Gary at Maximum says no problem. These wheels have been used on lots of sled with zero problems. studdog

Woooooooo Wooooooo I want you to take a look at something. Do you know why thoes track clips have sides on them and when the track is lined up you have about 1/4 to 3/8 clearance on each side. It's because when you go into a corner the track shifts to one side and the track clip keeps the track from comming offthe suspension. So if the track is shifting about 3/8 and your idler doesn't have that clearance from side to side then gues what. GOOD BY IDLER!!!!!!!
then why does max perf sell the wide 6205 bearing ???
your only talking about 1/16 of a inch here . not 3/8 of a inch

thats why I added the wheel extender kit from Pioneer so I dont have to wait till my hyfax to wear for the wheels to kick in for some extra help. Although I cant complain I got 2,800 out of my stockers but now I should go further!APEXER1 said:I'll bet you that your hyfax are far from "shot". They wear very quickly at first and then basically stop wearing for the next 1500-2000 miles.
Thats probably because when the hifax wears down then it starts to hit the wheels Thous-no more wear...

if you want a direct replacement idler wheel use wheels from a polaris indy. they are 5.35 vs 5.25 stock. no need to change bearings or mod anything, at least not on an rx1. over 10000 miles on mine and no hyfax issues.
