Yep I installed this in mine. Need to pull off stator cover and follow the instruction. Measure the gap of the old one before you pull it off.http://www.rmstator.com/en_ww/produ...nture-1000-500-atv-viking-rhino-700-2003-2015

The wires coming out to the harness go through a non split seal. I would cut the wires on the inside then place the new sensor and solder the old wires to the new sensor to keep all the connections sealed in the cover. Mine didn't come with a plug so the old harness connection needed to be used.Great, I have it on order.

A friend of mine who is an electrician will be doing the splicing/soldering so I should not have to worry about poor connections. Unfortunately I will be missing a week of good sledding but at least it will be a cheap fix.The wires coming out to the harness go through a non split seal. If it fails, I will get a refund and then buy OEM. But if it makes it a couple years then I will have saved about 90% of the cost of a new stator.

I just went through this issue...... first code ever that popped up since new in 07. Did much reading on the option of splicing in the aftermarket crank sensor.....opted to go all OEM .If it fails, I will get a refund and then buy OEM. But if it makes it a couple years then I will have saved about 90% of the cost of a new stator.

Got my piece from RMstator a couple days ago and put it back together last night; it fired right up and even seems to be running better than it did before. For someone like myself who is on a sledding budget, this is a great alternative to buying a stator from Yamaha.

Glad you got it going & with that being said, is this issue fixed on the newer Apexes as I replaced my stator assembly last year on my 06 Attak & was wondering if my new one might face the same issue?

It may show up on the 11 and newer apes but it is somewhat of an age/mileage thing too. Mine is 10 years old with 12k miles so I'm not complainingGlad you got it going & with that being said, is this issue fixed on the newer Apexes as I replaced my stator assembly last year on my 06 Attak & was wondering if my new one might face the same issue?

Will do but I can already give you somewhat of a review....a fellow riding buddy of mine installed this in his 08 at the start of last season. He put on 2k miles with no issues.
