I just spooled my 3.0 up with it but havent used it yet. Also I bought on of the special fairleads but I like the roller one better so I used HD heat srink to cover the rollers since the wire rope I had on there before nicked the rollers up.

the synthetic rope is supposed to be stronger, lighter and if it snaps it will not re-coil back at you.they use these for full size jeeps, trucks as well.they just cost much more than a steel cable.

After further investigation, I found Amsteel Syn. rope from a 4X4 place in Colorado. 3/16" dia. X 50' ft. long for $39.00.
Very comparable in price to a replacement Warn wire rope.
I machined up my own aluminum Hawse fairlead, now all I need to do is install it and see how it does in the field.

I have been using Plasma Rope for a couple of years now and I can say that I will never go back to metal again. I do use my Roller Farilead though. I fabricated new teflon rollers with bearings They work great. If you use the steel rollers, heat shrink will NOT be sufficient. We are talking about a LOT of pressure.
I would remove the rollers and dress them carefully before reassy.

I used some rope very simular to this as a starter rope in my Viper my buddies who ride 900 Cats all use it in their starters. Strong stuff.
