Put 130 miles on the new 2020 SRX Sunday and I Luv It! The 4 stroke is sooooo smooth. It's pretty much impossible to keep it under 6000 for 100 miles. I tried! Just one issue, I bought the Low Sport SMA-8JP96-U-BK windshield. I love the way it looks but.....it causes buffeting right at my head. I am 5-10. If I stood up my head was above the buffeting almost immediately. It was so annoying that I removed it after 50 miles and rode another 80 without a windshield. The original short windshield was at home. Question, has anyone else experienced this? Is there a windshield that is between the stock SRX low and the 8JP96-11-bk that buffets less. I would like to run my windshield bag so something taller than the stocker is necessary . Comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same issue with the DX windshield.
Also looking for a windshield that does not do this.

What shield is on a DX.
I will try the original this weekend but I don’t think it will cover my windshield bag. Anyone have a windshield that’s between the stock SRX LE and the Low Sport?

Looks like the sizing is
Extreme Low....what came on my SRX LE
Low....
Low Sport......what I put on that buffets my head
Looks like the Low might be what was on MTX 2017-2018
Not sure if the Low Buffets too or not. Guess for 50 bucks I might just try it.

I just put the SE windshield on for this season. Hope I don't regret it. Its lower that I expected. I may trim up my Sport Medium (Viper) if I'm cold.

This might be helpful, I was given these numbers from the local Yamaha dealer.
The Extreme Low is 6.5 inches
The Low is 10.25
The Low Sport is almost 15
I am either trimming the Low Sport or going to try the 10.25 inch low. Will let you know how it works out.

I've been running the Medium Sport Windshields on our SW's and haven't had any problems with the wind buffeting at speed. I think these look good on the sled and still offer decent wind protection. They've got the holes marked on the sides of the windshield if you'd ever want to install mirrors.

I'm not sure if you've seen this chart before but you might find it useful....

I think they look really nice on these sleds AND offer much better protection.I've been running the Medium Sport Windshields on our SW's and haven't had any problems with the wind buffeting at speed. THANK YOU. Very useful. I bet the medium sport would send it over my head and not into it like the low sport. Might try that instead of going with standard low. I put the extreme low back on for this weekend. No protection but no buffeting. Thanks again, very helpful.

I have no buffeting with the DX shield. I suppose it depends on your height too, I'm not that tall.
Lower shields make the sled seem so dang fast as the wind is trying to drag you off it and you have to hang on tight. Maybe that's why some think these sleds are so fast, they run low and mid height shields! LOL!
