Monte, what was installation like ? any additional holes needed ? Is this the XF7000 accessory windshield ? Please let me know part number used ... thanks, I want to go to cat windshield and mirrors .

Hey Bakowboy.

The part number is 6606-865. Yeah, it's an XF Accessory. The holes line up perfectly, and you eliminate the 2 "push pins" that the stock one uses. I don't think the mirrors work on this one though? I'll be getting some handguards and put a small mirror in there.

You would want a cross tour windshield if you want to mount mirrors. They have a hook instead of pushpins though so would need to be modified.

I see you have yamaha handgaurds are they that big stock or do you have flares on them

I put the extensions on the same time as the windshield. Haven't gotten to ride with them yet but they should help greatly with wind protection.

I've ordered the mid shield from AC. Supposed to be 17 inches as opposed to 20.5 inches.

Has anyone installed the medium sport windshield? I was interested in it but my dealer won't stock any accessories so I can't see it first. Just worried it'll be too tall.

I order mine and get it friday if installed this weekend I will post picture for you to see
