how is the wind protection-i.e. wind to the chest area?

The wife and I have that same sheild on our Apex's, The wife feels no wind at the chest or head area 5' 1" I get alittle wind from the neck up 5' 10".

Low Windshield

I have this windshield and have no problem with it. There is more wind to the head and neck, but if you dress properly it is not a problem.

My 40th's windshield directs wind to my chest and upper arms so I would love to find a replacement that wouldn't do that, but I am guessing not much is available for an 08 Vector?

Any Apex shield from '06-'10, will fit any Vector from '08-'13.

Choices from,12 1/2", 14 1/2", 16", & 17 3/4" tall.
Right out of the 2013 Yamaha catalog.
So you can get something taller for more protection, it would be either, Smoke color, or Smoke & Black in color. Either would still look good on your sled, and it keep the wind off better.

Thanks Nick, it would be nice if I could find a 40th in some of those heights but I think I am S.O.L.?
