Saw them at Milwaukee snow show and they looked better in the real and beefier. Wish they had removable handles but the yamaha rep. said they wanted to keep price down. He also said the 1-3 carbide set up would be the most popular with nice balance. Rep said the aggressive carbide set up was very aggressive like C and A razors but hard to turn. Most carbide set ups have 1 round bar and 1 carbide not like doo pilot skis

I think we would all like to know more but will have to wait for the snow & testing. 1 - 3 carbide refers to carbide lengh per runner inside & outside. Ty riders will give us good info on these for sure just need to wait.

So,it sounds like the total for a set,w/carbides will be around 200 bucks usa funds, correct? My boy has the 09 nytro shortie, and it darts real bad,he was thinking about these skis, what length carbides can you get for them, can you get 6" for each side of the ski,or odd size on one side vrs the other side.

Personally, if I were to get these skis, I would choose carbides that are all the same length carbide. This way, you would eliminate the chance of one runner being taller than the other and swap them around as needed.
Also, I remember when I bought Kimpex Arrows, I was so desperate to try them that I bought different length carbides of the same brand and one was significantly taller than the other, which I feel defeats the purpose of these skis.
Looking at the pics of these new Tuner skis, they seem to be a flatter ski with less "rocker" than the Arrows, thus a little tougher to steer. I'd opt for 2 set of 4" carbide runners for a studded sled and 2 sets of 6" carbide runners for aggressive riders.
Has anyone received a set yet? I'd also like to see a pair with the carbide runners mounted. I'm wondering if the front of the runners tuck into the ski instead of an exposed leading edge, which could catch rocks and railroad tracks.
