I am looking for a new windshield for my apex gt. It has the stock one right now and is way to cold to ride. I am looking to get a taller one put still want one that is good looking not like i took it off a snow couch. Does any one have any pics of there sled with bigger windshields and advice as to what i should use?

Attack 2008 windshield offer pretty good wind protection.

I bought a medium height windshield for my appex and it does make a big differance. Well worth the money. If you decide to go with the tall or the extra tall one it requires extra bracing due to the wind speed and the windshield flexing back.

I have the tall yamaha shield on mine,(not extra tall). If you get cold often this shield is a must. It works great at keeping wind of your upper body. It really changes the characteristics of the sled, as you dont feel the blast of cold air all the time when riding. You get the feeling your going slower than you acually are.If you do a lot of lake,or high speed running, you'll need to put the brace brackets on that come with the shield. If not the windshield light assembly will fold back at high speeds.

the low windshiel from yamaha looks good, i think its 13/13.5 inches. love the look of the 2006 rtx/gt windshield, they look awesome...just dress warmer lol

tall windshield

Just installed a tall windshield (24" measured down the center, my old one was a medium at 20")on my '06 Attak. Wind was hitting me in the chest, now near top of helmet. Still low enough that when riding I am looking well above the shield or left or right when hanging off in the corners, I'm only 5'-9". Also offers more wind protection for hands, I would highly recommend, it's difficult to: "just dress warmer" when wind chills are always below zero when riding! Installation the braces was simple, just required drilling 2) 5mm holes , template and mounting hardware were supplied. HAPPY TRAILS!
