Wining drive noise?? 2011 Apex xtx

I noticed a distinct wining noise in my drive that sounds like a turbo spoiling up and it is loud enough the guy behind me can hear it. Any idea what it might be??

If I am not mistaken that is the floating clutch. All Yamaha's have that sound some loader than others and I noticed 2011 and up Apexes have this winding noise louder than my 06.

I know both mine and viper daves where whining on Saturday on the ty ride. after riding his I assume it was normal but yours sounds loder if your buddy can hear it.

check chain case tension and start checking skid bearings. I just did almost all my bearings so idk what it could be.

My 11 is alot louder than my 08 and 06 were.
It goes in for its first service next week, and I'm going to ask about it.

All my experience with loud wining has been chain too tight. My buddies was doing it last year, we stopped on trail , loosened his chain, all better.
