Anybody have any ideas on this one. 2014 XTX, it started last year and has gotten progressively worse. Only when starting cold so far in temps ranging from -15F to 25F I have to give it a little throttle or it dies and I have to hold it until it fully warms up. Once it warms up it runs normal. I have checked TPS in diagnostics open and full throttle with bars straight and turned all the way and it comes back 0% without throttle and 100% full throttle. I have the latest flash. I have an 8" handlebar riser and the adjustment is maxed out, so I unhooked the cable from the throttle to make sure the cable isn't to tight and it still does it. I have tried taking the belt off to make sure it's not my deflection set to tight. I'm still on the original battery and have noticed it is really turning over pretty slow. Is there any chance a weak battery could be causing it not to idle when cold? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Since the battery is over 5 years old, it's time for a new one anyway.
I have the Arctic version 2014 XF7000. I Did put a new battery in just in case. Once it starts, at -20f, it stays running.
If you're high mileage, 15,000 +/-, could need a valve adjustment. Happened to a friend not to long ago.
He's now over 23,000 miles. I could only dream....................

There is a Idle Speed Control (ISC)which could be a issue look at wiring to it and in diagnostic mode on dash watch for values changing as it warms up. Lastly check the Baro sensors and make sure vacuum hose is hooked up.

Not common issue at all. Look for the gauge operation video. Go into diagnostic mode with cold engine. Go to ISC start sled and confirm the numbers change as its warming up. If so at least you know ecu is telling it to open then close as it warms. Check wiring and plug to it. Its on TB. You have a manual? Last remote possibility is its carboned up. Have you noticed a change in engine breaking? Like more then normal?Hi Cannondale!

When the engine it's warm sometimes he idle like supercharge car between 1450 to 1500 rpm. I have Evo stage 4 , header and stock muffleur.Not common issue at all. Look for the gauge operation video. I had this problem this winter also. Turn your key on without starting it, disconnect your battery, turn key off and reconnect battery. It worked for me

Thanks I'll try this simple trick first..I had this problem this winter also. Turn your key on without starting it, disconnect your battery, turn key off and reconnect battery. It worked for me

Looking at my AFR it's around 10 when it's cold and then just over 11 once warmed up. Is it possible it's to rich when cold? Heading out to ride now, I'll try cannondales tips tomorrow.
