I would guess you don't have enough slack in the throttle cable and the TORS is being activated. There needs to be some slack in the throttle cable.

How do I get slack in the cable while still having throttle response? Just find a happy medium between the stock throttle adjustment and the extension adjustment?I would guess you don't have enough slack in the throttle cable and the TORS is being activated. Do you have a service manual handy? There is a defined value for how tors should be adjusted. Otherwise, your throttle paddle must touch the housing, and the tor switch on the carb must be depressed.

As long as there is some slack, like around 1/8 " it should work just fine. There probably is an exact measurement in the manual. You wont lose any throttle response or top end since it will still open the slides all the way. You wont gain anything by having the cables tight.

Unhook two tors plugs and bypass by plugging them together, then you'll verify.

Be careful if your cable is tight. When I did mine my cable was slack enough that it didn't effect my tors but when I turned the handle bars all the way to the side the engine reved up enough to engage the clutches and move the sled. Once you get is set do a test to make sure that doesn't happen.

Stock throttle adjustment gives some slack. Set the slack to specs in manual.
