2009 veture GT. I blew a belt and it got wound up behind the primary. Would not turn over. Got towed. removed clutch and strands behind it. Replaced starter relay next to the battery as it would not start. Now it starts and stays running only as long as I keep the key engaged. The second I let off the key, it shuts down. no codes showing. My money is a faulty or the wrong starter relay but wanted to see if anybody has run into this.

Pretty sure it is the right one. maybe just defective. i have an 06 in the yard as well. Might try swapping them out tomorrow.

I would advise against using aftermarket relay here.
