Anyone try these studs on thier Yamaha? I know they were intened for the ski-doo single ply tracks but I've had a couple people tell me they can also be used on high hp/torque sleds to reduce the chance of tear out. I didn't want to put a ton of studs in my new track (pattern 2 then 3 then 2 etc) so I've been told to go with the bigger head offerend on these studs. Any thoughts?

woodys grand master studs

ran them in my wife new 2012 apex xtx 144, 2500 kms on them this winter no pull outs, look like brand new still, excellent stud in my opinion, going to change the track on my 07 gt and install 120 up the middle. only ran 120 up the middle on the 2012, no studs on the outside, hooks up great no problems, dont think I will ever run studs on the outside again. also ran a double backer pattern, works great, their is a guy in the states that gave me a great deal on the studs, studs ,backer and nut under $400.

I second the studs, ran them at least 2500kms last winter with the same results as Rx-1 best stud I ever ran so far. I ran 2 per section and used spacers to drop the tunnel protectors down to stop studs from hitting exup. Was an issue until I dropped the protecters now evreythings perfect.

stud height

ran a 1.375 stud, no issues hitting the exup, but I do tend to keep the track tight, hopefully graphite sliders will solve the slider wear issue, only getting around 1500 km on the stock sliders,

I run graphite with a little looser track to save sliders and I had to drop tunnel protectors to keep exup from being hit. Just keep an eye on the exup on whatever studs you use. Not a cheap replacement besides removing completely.

What length studs?

How much did you drop the protectors.

So i did use the Grandmasters - patter was 2 on each window (V Pattern) I did not adjust the tunnel protectors but ran the track per spec. No issues at all after about 5,000kms.
