Anyone have experience with the Woodys' Slim Jim? How about on a C&A pro ski?

I have them on my '07 Apex and my '06 Nytro, both sleds have C&A Razors, I'm happy with them, they work well for me on both sleds.

Do they help steering effort? Do they understeer?
thanks

How about Stud boy deuce runners? anyone have any feedback? steering effort?

I use the Deuce runners but can only compare to the Original Woody's duel runners. The Deuce runners were a big improvement ..I find the Deuce runners don't wear as well as the Woody,s. But they are a good product..

'06 Vector GT, stock skis, stock 121" Ripsaw, no studs.

Stock 3" carbides: lots of understeer, moderate darting.

Woody's 6" single carbides: no more understeer, increased steering effort and darting.

Shimmed skis: slight improvement in darting.

4.5" Duece bars, skis still shimmed : nice neutral steering, very little darting, less steering effort than 6" single carbides.

I tried them last season and will continue this season. I am used to the wood's dually, had been using them on different sleds over the years, really like them, I'm still undecided if I like the slimjims or not. Supposed to be lighter but I did find snow really packed in between the two carbides and really took the steering to quite and experience. I guess all the duallys could do this from time to time but there is a lot more depth with the slimjims for this to happen. Was thinking on the, darn cant remember the name, really weird looking ones that are out there now. First time I saw them I thought they were home made. Some kind of fins on them???? Not much help am I,,,,

For me it has been the opposite,I have gotten better life out of the deuce bars.

I'm running stud boys duallys 8 inch I like them In fact I ordered some for woman's sled hers was darting really bad and when she road mine she said she felt safer on mine less darting and she was able to go faster on my sled my sled is 03 rx1er and hers is 03 rx1 mountain they should be here tommorrow my sled corners really nice no under steer and no darting I have no opinion on wear but they are cheaper than woodys so I wouldn't expect them to last as long hope this helps

I have been running regular shapers for 5+ years but I think I am going to use the Deuce and see if it helps with darting and heavy steering, with all the weight on the front of these Nytro's I think spreading it out over 2 bars will help.

I ran the Slim Jims 2 seasons ago on stock skies, now i run> Snow Studs Accord Racing Double Downs< much better wearbars, wider space in between, lots of carbide you can choose from, better wear,85% of the darting gone, these carbides work great! Snowtrackers being the next level on carbides.imo :flag: :flag:

tomanytoys, i've heard that too. I'm going to take a good look at them if my sled doesn't handle any better after playing with ski toe.
