Ok heres the deal, I can get a 2007 Attak ER left over new for $8199

or A 2008 LTX (Attak) for $9299.....$1100 more??

So is it worth it? I know its the same sled, but when I sell it next year or 2 years the 2008 will be worth more than the 2007....so the diff, isn't really that much.....

Supposly Yamaha made some nice changes to the rear suspension in terms of a different spring and valving, but then again you have your shock sent in for alot less than 1100$ and come out with the same result. Other than that I dont think there are many changes.

You sure wont see that extra $1100 when you go to sell it. I would get the 07 and spend the $1100 on mods. :rules

Thats a good buy on the new 08. Do the 08 GT. The GT's are nicer than the standards. Too bad you didn't get one in the spring. I won't tell you the deal I made on a Red 07 GT.

I would spend an extra $500 and get an 07 ATTAK GT. You would end up with a better sled than an 08 LTX and save $600

I would go with the GT if that is an option like stated above. I think that would have better resale then either basic attak

The GT is worth it. I have both a std. Attak, and a GT Attak. I didn't think it would be that big of a differance in ride or useability, but after putting over 600 miles on it at the end of the season, it is worth the additional money. 07 GT not as prone to bottoming as std. Also you can just touch the toggle on the bars to change comp dampning. You don't even have to slow down or take your eyes from the trail. Not so with the knob on the tunnel on the std. Attak. Not to mention you get a painted tunnel that looks better.
