If you read my review from when I took delivery of my Viper LTX I wasn't impressed with the build quality/materials used. I broke it in right with only short busts of WOT and varied rpms for 500 miles. Around the 500 mile range the engine seemed to open up and it was quicker on throttle response and had more top end.

First long ride was with YamahaDog and YamahaTim up in the Up for the Ty ride. Suspension was still at stock settings and I was still getting used to the new sled but it felt like it had potential and handled well on twisty trails.

After that ride I started to adjust the suspension. With a few adjustments and more riding the sled was dialed in and holy COW! Along with me getting used to the new chassis/suspension the sled came to life.

We have been very fortunate around here this year as we have had allot of snow and at times ALLOT! 18+ over night. Twisty trail, deep snow, ditch banging, jumping, plowing through stupid big drifts, etc... the viper is finally the sled that can do it all for my type of riding. With past models they seem to only be good for one or two conditions but was never a do it all sled. I bought every model starting with the old Rx1 and had a huge collection of sleds in my garage. I am so happy with the viper everything has been sold except my Apex.

I'm kinda glad that the bigger windshields was out of stock earlier in the year because the stock windshield looks bad #*$&@. I was worried I would get cold but ive been able to push this sled so hard that I have to shed layers as I sweat to death!

So imo if you ride hard and love to fly through twisty trails, hit jumps, bumps, and play in deep snow this is the SLED! So far the only thing the sled seems to not be a champ at is a fairly fresh groomed trail. It just doesn't handle the corners as well. But once its sloshed up a bit or if it has about 2-3+ inches of fluff on top it eats it up!

Bottom line, if you ride hard and are on the fence about a viper just do it! Once you get the suspension dialed you will love it!

Totally agree best sled I've owned , I just want to ride this sled everyday. Once I put all my mods on like programmer, intake, full exhaust and full Elka suspension it will be perfect to me.
