When I do most of my riding up until march it is very dark here. I already run xenon headlights but was thinking about putting a led light somewhere up front for some extra visibility... Has anyone done this, is it worth the effort?

Vision X LED arrays doesn't come cheap, and being put in the front end of a sled, the chances are that you're going to break it.
If you have room for it (and the charging system can handle it) i think a HID converted auxiliary light would be just as good, 35w hid in a decent housing is extremely cheap and bright!
What kind of beam pattern is it you're looking for? work light-style or extra beam length?

I already have a hid conversion running 50 watt xenong headlights. I was wanting more and something that would not put too big of a load on the electrical system.
I know people put the x-vision light ramps on the UTV's so thats how I came to think it might work on a sled as well..
Im looking to get as wide of a beam as possible so I can se a bit to the sides and whats going on there when riding..

I have the Sled Start HID's and I can not imagine needing more light than what they provide. Low & high are the same bulb and a solenoid moves the bulb back and forth in the reflector. These provide good wide coverage on low and very long coverage on high beam.

What the what? $1000+ for a light on those vision X? I never heard of them before now I know why.
Check out Trail Tech HID SCMR16 lights I have them on mine replacing the headlights and they are bright as heck. Brighter then HID conversion in the stock housing I have seen them side by side. Awesome light, durability has been a slight issue at first but so far working good for the last 3 years.

Yours do look really trick but for most people modifying the stock housing is not an option.
For those that want a huge improvement over stock with plug & play installation get the Sled Start HID's. They are awesome and you will be supporting a fellow TY member's business!
