Ok guys here is my problem. I placed a hundred dollars down towards a black 2010 XTX, but my cost is still going to be 10300. (ouch)

Yesterday the bug was getting to me back so I started calling local dealerships and inquired if they had any 09 XTX in stock. Fortunately or maybe unfortunately I found a few dealers with them in stock (in the crate still).

Now for my issue. I have been quoted, OTD 8550 for the sleds. Save 1800 bucks, or do I wait and drop the extra 1800 so I can say I own a '10???? (keeping in mind the only changes were the rear wheels and the grips.)

My other concern is Yamaha is offering 600 for customer cash through Aug. I actually had a dealer tell me I would be crazy to buy right now, and should wait till at least october before I buy due to the possible promotions for the left over 09's.

Thoughts?????? (I just know when I walk out into my garage I have this hole where my old sled use to sit and it needs be filled with an XTX.)
:o|

I think you should wait for better deals on the 09 XTX. Not much has changed on the 2010. I bought one at the end of the season for a lot cheaper than that. They have cut down on the rebates. It's killing me not being able to even drive it until next winter. GOOD LUCK!!

I definately want NEW. I am a little curious as to where I could come across a price in the sevens for a new XTX though.

My buddy purchased a new one for $8300 during the season in hancock mi at M@M powersports

Honestly if you found a like new '09 for the 65, 75 range, there are many out there like mine which have to 5 year warranty that are worth the savings! once you ride it, its a used sled anyway, so why not put the extra cash you save towards going on a TY ride, or more accessories? The only way I could justify the cost of a new one is of there was some new tchnology or changes that I thought I couldn't live without.

got a quote of 8100 for a new 09 Blue XTX in a crate. Might have to make a stop at the dealers tomorrow when I am leaving town.

Got the bug bad right now. And I know I should be a little more patient, but can't help myself. :o|

Did it!!!!

Well I did it. Broke down and pulled the trigger.

Now have to deceide on studs. Number of studs and what pattern????

Putting the grab strap on the bars. Not sure what else. But just got it and I think I might have a couple weeks to play with it before the white gold falls.

Actually made out even better than that. Already made a buddy of mine mad about the price I got it for so, I'll just say I did a little better. ;)!

I looked at it as with the money I saved I can buy the 2010 rear wheels, when these go bad, and if the bars don't get warm then I will change them too.

Are you running studs in yours? If so how many?

I bought mine at the end of last season in the spring. Never even got to ride it yet!!! I didn't do anything to it yet. First priority for me was storage and the hand warmers. I'm sure I'll stud it after I do some research.

I am looking at doing some kind of traction products. I have even kicked around the idea of the screws. (into the paddles) Haven'y done a lot of research on them yet, but know I would like some bite on ice when I do ride the trails with the family....
