14.5 mm rivits for mountain use
Pros,
Slightly lower engagement RPM for tight low speed boondocking through the trees.
A little more belt side pressure.
Cons
Primary clutch backshifts slower.
I tried the 14.5mm in my XTX (ride 95% mountains) but found that the primary backshifted a little to slowly for my taste. This was more noticeable when letting off the throttle while coming down a hill, then getting back into the throttle again to carve back up the hill.
It's really more of a personal preference thing, lots of guys use them and like the 14.5s. I ended up putting the stockers back in.
Yes, you can either wind the secondary 10* more, or swap out the helix. A straight 39* or 43/39* works well.
You'll want to pull rivit weight out of the primary for that elevation for sure
