So I had the secondary removed and decided I would clean and grease the driveshaft bearing. So I sprayed it with wd 40 and decided I would rotate the track to get the crud cleaned out. I have the skid removed because I had my shocks revalved and the star suspension kit put it, so when I rotated the track the driveshaft shifted and popped out the side toward the secondary clutch, I just pushed on the shaft back towards the chaincase, but with this happening could it have affected anything in the chaincase? I have never ripped into the chaincase so I am not sure whats all on the other side of the driveshaft on the chaincase side.

if it went back in place you should be fine, it just fits the spline on the lower gear on the chain case side.

if you have never been in the chaincase you might want to look in there if the speedo side popped out that easy, sounds like you have the infamous broken bolt in the lower chaincase gear...

Ya it seemed to pop back in alright, I was thinking the something about that chaincase bolt, I read a little about it, do you guys just pull it out and leave it or install a new one? I regressed the jackshaft bearing also and pulled off the primary, do you guys usually regrease that bearing to?

yep, your bolt is broken, that along with the set screws on the bearing are what hold the drive shaft in place. If you have everything torn apart already, might as well replace the bolt.

if you can change it, do it. the only P.I.T.A. part of it is getting the broken bolt threads out. plus it gives you practice putting the chaincase cover back on.
on my sled I changed out the bolt 1 time with the 9 dollar yamaha "updated" bolt the first season I owned it. tore it apart last summer for mods and the bolt was broken again

Sounds good I will look into this broken bolt, anyone have an answer on that bearing behind the primary clutch, does anyone try pulling the seal to add some grease or not? I have only seen threads on greasing the driveshaft bearing and the jackshaft

I don't know anyone that greases the bearing behind the PRIMARY, and wouldn't recommend it. That one is likely getting engine oil to some degree if not being directly fed by the oil system.
