Anyone know what the spring rate is for the front suspension on a XTX?

I would like to do something with front springs also. have mine dialed in perfect, rails and got used to it, but nearing 1500mi and finally rode on some froxen hardpack. absolutely brutal on my arms. maybe the simmons are not good in those conditions? I love this machine, especially in loose snow, but I think my arms are at least 2" bigger around so far this winter

Thanks RollRite, works out to about 140 lbs/inch then.
Thought about going to some ti springs, as part of my Nyto weight loss program. May end up just going with some floats instead, although I do like the GYT clickers up front!

I wondered if floats would be better off on the xtx so it can easily be let down when fatigued or hard pack

Not sure, haven't rode a Yammy with floats yet. Just some brand X machines, they seemed to work well on those.
I did back the front spring tension off on mine. It did help reduce the shock you feel through the bars. I did it mainly to improve side hilling and lighten the steering some. Which it did make a difference.

I would consider a shock revalve. Id say soften the Highspeed compression dampening. Did this on my Viper S Ohlins and it made a huge difference on how it handled chatter bumps and hard pack trail chop. They were like a rock in these conditions before the revalve, but handled big,one time bumps(slowspeed compression) well. Leave the slow speed compression as is.
I'll be doing this to mine soon, get it ready for next season!!
