Went out riding last night everything went great. This morning I left and my slides are melting off my sled to the point that it stops the sled. Stuff it in the loose snow and instantly issue gone. Plenty of snow on the trails track is plenty loose. It has gotten better today but still has drag on the sled. Any ideas what is going on slides have 200 miles on them. Sled has 1000 miles just wondering if any one else had this issue. It's ruining my weekend

Yea I am aware of the slide wear issue I didn't realize it was to this extreme I had 900 miles with no issues and then this all of the sudden. As the night has gone on it has been intermittent I will just run it

I have the Excell 8 wheel kit on mine, with 1040 miles on the slides, and they still look like new.

I've had the Excel kit on for 1700 +/- mi. It helped a lot, but I was still getting uneven and what I consider excessive wear. Due to a dealer error, I installed graphite 141" slides before the TY ride in Gwinn. Conditions were OK, not great. 400+ miles and they look like new. I did manage to procure a set of the new Dupont slides, but I didn't change them out yet. I'll bring them to Muni this weekend just in case though!!

I am ordering those today. I can't have another weekend ruined like the last one with the slides sticking and only being able to go 30 mph so they wouldn't melt to the track piss poor flaw by yamaha on this one. Slide wear 10x the amount of my 07. 400 miles on this set of slides Hopefully this is the cure and no more issues

I get the same thing, sled almost feels like its binding up, feels like 2 times the normal engine breaking when you let off the throttle. Never really got a good answer but pretty sure its slide related. Funny thing is it only happens once in a while so assuming its when the slides get overheated. Guess i'll have to try the new Dupont slides if my dealer ever gets a pair.

I have 600 miles on the Dupont slides on a 2011 Apex with no wear at all. 600 miles in some poor conditions (tough winter). From what I see these slides should last forever. No uneven wear at all.

Do the excell wheel kit. It will fix your problem. I had the same issue until I added the extra wheels. I have the new slides and 1000 miles with no issues.

Try Ulmer Racing.
If not buy the Polaris wheels and you will have to get a couple mounting brackets for the two wheels inside.
