Have any of you guys added any extra wheels to your skids on the XTX?
Did you only add one set, two sets? What kit did you use? Do you have any pictures of your install?
In the low-northeast the more wheels the better for marginal snow or roads etc. This skid seems like it is missing a few sets - lol.

I added 2 sets (4 wheels total) extra to my ltx plus the 4th wheel kit. The skid is definitely lacking in the wheel department!

Thanks, that's what I was thinking.
Did you get a kit? What size wheels? Do you have a link to them I could look at?

For the ltx it needed 5.63" wheels, not for sure on the xtx wheels size but they come in a kit with mounts and hardware, I believe Allen ulmer sells the kits or you should be able to get them from any arctic cat dealer

I read chatter on the Cat site to make sure you get wheels with an axle that goes rail to rail. They said the wheels that just bolt to the rail have a tendency to twist the rail on impact. How much truth there is to it I do not know but see the wisdom in the wheels that have the axle. Anybody twist a rail yet?

Thanks, that is a good point.
I didn't bend the rails, but I did bend the side mounts on the yamaha kit on my nytro xtx so a full shaft would be preferable. With that in mind, I think I will just buy the wheels and make the shaft mounts.

I had 2 sets with 15000 on my mtx Destroyed a couple wheels with hard impacts but no bent rails.
In saying that I think the rails on the nytro are stronger then the vipers.

My XTX does not have a spot to add extra bogey wheels to the rail, is there a kit that i haven't seen yet?

I added wheels to my skid for asphalt, but they are the smaller diameter ones that come with aftermarket race suspensions. Might try them in snow. The bolt holes are already in the skid for the smaller wheels like I used. Only had to drill 2 holes up front for an anti-stab axle with wheels.
