dose anyone know if they make a marginal snow kit for the 2017 viper xtx se. rode 380 miles and already have to put new hyfax on. I see there is holes in the rails. If anyone has any info that would be greatly appreciated

I've ridden in less than stellar conditions and I'm still on my original slides on my XTX with 2000 miles on it. Where did they wear out? maybe they removed a set of wheels on the newer models. Mine has pair by the front arm mount outside the rails and a pair inside the rails where the rear shock is. How far were they wore? Mine have 2 sets of wear lines and I'm just about to the first set which is only about 1/2 way through.

The holes I think you are talking about are for ice scratchers and they will make a world of difference in your engine temp and hyfax life in marginal snow conditions. The classic ones are yamaha part # SMA-8JP38-00-KT. There are other styles if you look online and if you can find scratchers that fit the arctic cat 7000 cheaper they are the same as the yamaha.

Check your track deflection. If it is too tight this may be part of the problem of the slides wearing so soon
