XTX SE Darting on Trail

I have put about 400 miles on my Viper XTX SE. I noticed that it darts pretty bad on the trails if there is looser snow and other ski tracks in the snow. Seems like it just wants to grab existing ski tracks and follow them. In conditions when the trails is very hard it does not do it. Also, my buddy has a LTX model...the other night we switched sleds for a bit and his seems "run on rails"...much less effort to steer through curvy trails. I know the skis are different on the two models...and his has a different rear suspension.

Any thoughts on where to start to tweek mine? Carbide change? Suspension adjustments?

Thanks!

Snow trackers problem solved. Or check out Yamaha Tuner skis but I have no experience with them.

Yes!

I started with taking about 6 full turns out of the front rear skid shock spring to get more nose pressure on the skis. I put 125 lbs in the rear fox float. I added dual 6" carbides on the front which got rid of the dart but still had a bad push in the corners. I put on a set of simmons flex skis with 2 (1 inner and 1 out edge of each ski) 8" carbides and now it is a lot better.

The XTX will never handle like the LTX due to the uncoupled rear skid but the hookup on launch is unbelievable - then add turbo and .....

I went to the Arctic Cat shop and got dual staggered carbides for my xtx. They eliminated all darting. I haven't tried any different ski's yet.
