Has anyone that has done a yamacharger install got a code 85 after. It took about 15 miles but then lights started flashing & this code (oil pressure sending unit) keeps flashing.
The sled runs great but the code & lights keep flashing.
Anyway the yamacharger is the real deal.
The gains are pretty immpressive & I think this thing would run with my 1st turbo build at 8 pounds boost.
I have the 2 speeds dialed in allmost perfect & it took all afternoon!!!

Turk..sorry ..cannt help you on that one..I have never had a code come on since install last Jan. Maybe on Monday give Danny a call..819 849 4849..It seems alittle weird that code would be going ...Also would love to no more about your cluthing when your sled problems are solved..Good luck..And yes this little system is for real..Many guys didnt beleive it last year..But know there is alot more on board and loving it..There still is the guys around not liking though..Hope things work out !

yamacharger code 85

I would start it up take out your oil dip stick and look inside. If the oil is up and you can see it moving in the tank I would say it is probable a sensor or something. If the oil is moving then the sled is getting oil.

Are you serious??? 8 pounds??? I have run my supercharger from 4 to 12 pounds, and there is no way the yamaha charger will stay with it. We have raced 2 different yamaha chargers on 2 different sleds and the one was slightly better then my stocker with air box, PC3 and clutching, niether one would go by my buddy stone's attack with the same set up.

Mine runs great. I didn't buy or build it to be a lake racer. Its a fast trail sled that will put down many other fast sleds on the lake, but not a lake racer..

Its working great so far and out running all the other Apexs I've been able to run against so far...

It took me all afternoon to get clutched to my liking. I have it launching at 10k & climbing to 10,600. There is a huge diff in the performance this thing from mediocre clutching to good clutching.
I think my code 85 is a wiring issue as I drove it 20 miles & spent all afternoon clutch tuning it.

look at the wire from the sensor to the plug where it goes into the harness(little white plug) - my stocker got some corrosion in there and would set that code once in a while
