Out today doing some river riding with couple of friends riding a 2011 800R Rush, 2008 800 Crossfire and a 2005 F7. The absolute ease with which the Apex could go by the machines I didn't expect. River has about 2' of snow and Apex could get to 171Km/hr on the speedo... may of had a little(very little) bit more but the snow drifts/sandbars come up awful quick! We didn't attempt from a standing start, rather from 100km/hr and up. Was somewhat pleased with fuel milage as well. 158 km total and I used a full tank plus 10 liters. The Rush a tank plus 25 liters. Not sure about the Cats as they arrived halfway thru our ride.
My friends F7 turned 10,000 kms on its odometer during the ride. The only issue hes had with it was a blown stator a few years ago and its not babied but does take care of it. Machine does well.
When I loaded my Apex on the truck deck it died for fuel (I hope). Was riding last 50kms with guage on the last bar and light on. When it got on the truck deck it sputtered and stalled. At the fuel pump it took 32.8 liters and I couldn't squeeze any more in. Maybe going up the ramp fuel ran away from the inlet line? Machine did fire up when I tried.
