I purchased and installed a Yamaha apex nose bag model number SMA-8FP13-10-00.

According to yamaha website it will not fit the rs vector. I ordered off ebay from Yamaha parts express and it fits mint.

I own a 2010 without power steering and the only modification required during install was to rotate the heatsink such that the bag was not resting on it.

Installation

Remove the two bolts holding the rectifyer (see picture below) to the bracket. Then you loosen and swivel the bracket down. One you have moved it to the new position you reattach the rectifyer. In order to reattach the ground wire you need to bend it, 90 degrees, with a set of players.

Great little storage spot that is hidden such that you don't need to take it into the restaurant.

I Plan to store my jump Starter and a few essentials in it.

Can you show me what heatsink you are talking about & which way to rotate it.

I updated my original post and added pictures of the rectifyer heat sink. Basically you remove the two bolts holding it to the bracket. Then you loosen and swivel the bracket down. One you have moved it to the new position you reattach the rectifyer. In order to reattach the ground wire you need to bend it, 90 degrees, with a set of players.
