I have a 2006 nytro, does it have a hyvo type chain?

Is a polaris hyvo chain the same?

If so, would it work on a yamaha?

Can I gear my nytro 23/40 and use the stock 70 pin chain?

Thanks for the replies

Nobody seems to know a great deal about yamaha,or they won't reply. I posted this in the apex forum because that is where most of the action is.

On the Apex with 23/40 gears, a 70-link chain is required.

I'm pretty confident that the chains and gears for Yamaha are all the same, but you could check that with Yamaha's online parts fiche, Nytro 70 link chain part number against the Apex 70 link chain.

Hyvo chains come in a couple of different widths. I'm not sure what Polaris uses.

Nytro chains (both RS and FX) are the same as RX/Apex/etc. Yes, the polaris chain is also the same and will be fine. The Phazer is the only oddball, but I think that its just the length thats weird (80L).

70L chain will work up to 24/40 or 23/41, so it'll be fine with 23/40.

thanks guys, I appreciate finding out, now to find a 23 tooth gear.

Anybody have a yamaha one for sale?
My dealer had one in stock which he sold me for about $35. Allen Ulmer sells 'em too, for about the same price.

I have gears (20 to 26 tooth) and chains (68 & 70 link) in stock. Let me know if I can do anything for you.
