I am looking to gear my sled up one tooth this year but it is gunna require me to get both a new chain and gear. (22T going to a 23T my chain is 68 pitch) I was just wondering if anyone knows if the Yamaha chains are actually HYVO chains or not??

yes they are hyvo chains. i bought a team chain and sprocket. they are borg warner and made in canada. what is your bottom gear? why are you gearing up? i just purchased a chain and 22 tooth top gear to come down from 24. do you run alot of lakes?

My gear ratio is a 22/38 which is the stock setup for the 07 RTX. I have a drag & Fly clutch kit and no matter how much weight I put on those dogs I was still reving @11,000 rpms. That is with 144 1.450 studs and stock ripsaw track. I was told by a very reputable tuner to go up one tooth on the top to help bring the rpm's down to where they are supposed to be and ad alittle on the topend. That and I am in the middle of a sled build which includes a 136" cobra and most all the threads say that the 23T is a good all around gear. Unless someone can convince me that what I have for gearing is good for the 136" setup (whats Ulmers clutch setup come with for a top gear for the attack??) So that is where I am at---If yall think I am good where I am at than I will be happy with that because I am all for saving some pennies!!!! (especially on a $100.00 chain!!) :yam:

Can't speak for Al Ulmer, but the stock gearing for an Attak is 23/38. I geared down to 21/38 at Allans advice when I stretched to 144. Stock clutching and it's perfect! Call him and ask. He's a GREAT guy, and if you need parts, he was cheaper than my local dealer. Ordered Monday and they arrived Thursday.
