I guess that would be me, and many others I suspect.
That's why I like TY, cause I can learn.

Yeah, never mind me.
I've been getting more and more impatient with Yamaha each passing year to finally update the Nytro with a real fix for the handling.
I bet a bunch of guys will be pleased with the new skis. I've got a pair of Duece Bars I tried out several times on my stock skis and they do work to make the sled less twitchy. The Duece Bars just gave up too much bite in the corners for me to like them.

Saw the skis at haydays today, looked promising. Seemed very similar in width and lenghth to the new "power steering" ski, as well as design and astetics on top of ski. Price point was listed as around sixty bucks per ski, then of course an assorted list of wear bars from half inch round to eight inch carbide so the individual can "customize" the ski to your riding style. Time will tell but the price seems right and they might be worth a look.

Wow, $60 per ski isn't bad. I wonder if you can reuse the handles, mounting hardware and skags off the stock skis? Then you'd only have to buy another pair of skags.

Is this new ski going to be standard on the 2012's that are out this Fall or is it just available as an accessory. Same question on the hi-fax; will these upgrades be on the new sleds or are we going to have to buy them after the fact.

You'll have to buy them after the fact, as they are an upgrade. Let's hope Yamaha has learned to actually have them in stock (including carbides), unlike last year's MT9 ski fiasco.

Yamaha isn't dumb, why provide new when they can provide an even better as an esmadily added on "upgrade"...
;-)
And no doubt, at least with the sliders -- they'll fly off the shelf too once they are in stock.
