Yamaha Peformance Dampers...Cool!!!

seams like you'd get much more bang for the lb. and $ by building a more rigid chassis than dampening the flimsy one they already have.

Well I want a set for my apex an would to get a set to put on the new viper I ordered don't care what you guy thing but I thing it will help a lot I ride hard but I'm an old racer from back in the 76 srx's days.
 
5 pages of post and there is nothing about the most important thing. COST. well no answer that is. is it $200 to buy them or $700??? that will decide how many are sold.

Talked to buds damper price line for Apex drawn at $350 installed. We thought when you get in the $400-600 Range just does not make sense any more so many other things you could do with shocks,skis carbides even star suspension the high cost of dampers just doesn't compute. Price it right make it affordable & many will buy.... price it too high it will be ignored. Just my 2 cents.
 
No what I think they need to do is take two identical sleds both set up the same way except one with the dampers one without, put covers over the damper area so the riders cant tell if its equipped with one or not. Then take 2 to 4 riders and run them over the same course same day each running both sleds. Time them! The math will tell if they work of are a waste of even 300 bucks.

Look at the number of people who said wow to a stiffer sway bar because of how much it improved handling and it cost less then a hundred bucks!

I don't think the chassis is flimsy and when I look at some of the other brands I think the Apex chassis is much less flimsy!
 
Can anyone tell me where the ypd are mounted on vipers

I just had the set for my 2015 Apex XTX priced at the dealer--------$649.95 Cdn !
 
Sasquatch, as per your post #67, Pats Yamaha did this very thing last year at this time. I just replied in another thread on the details.
