yamaha tunnel close off
I have installed the kit from yamaha and its a great kit $89.95 canadian,
it took about 2 hours to install it came with the rear panel, heat tape and a heat deflector shield for under the seat. i installed the panel with stainless bolts for easy removal when i want to buff the panel or tunnel or muffler.
I laugh when I hear guys say its to expensive, when you ride for long time the seat got hot with the tunnel open imagine with its closed. The kit is well tought so dont buy imitations buy the original yamaha part.

I guess I'm just a bit P.O.'d since I spent the $140 from the dealer for the lovered panels to cure the same problem....

Re: yamaha tunnel close off
I definitely agree, If ice build up is a problem then $89.95 is a quick way to cure it. for sure less expensive than the louvered side panels.jsaumier said:I have installed the kit from yamaha and its a great kit $89.95 canadian,

Is this kit something that is only available in Canada or is it also available in the US through the dealership? Also, would you happen to have the part number for this kit?
Thanks

I don't think anybody's seat ever got hot, there's not even one complaint in here about it, besides the excell kit looks nicer with the louvers cut in it and is 40 bucks cheaper.

Does anyone have the installation instructions for this kit. I received mine today but no instructions in the box.
